Options from Geneva Airport

• Taxi or minibus from the airport to Châtel
• Take a train at the airport to Aigle and then a taxi or minibus to Châtel
• Train to Thonon Les Bains and then bus to Chatel

Important note: new regulations mean that in theory vehicles rented outside France may not officially be driven in France, so it's possibly better to rent from the French side of the airport but be sure to ask for snow tyres and/or chains and a Swiss motorway sticker. This regulation may be changed so please check with the hire companies before travel.

There is free parking at La Corniche, and it may be useful to have a vehicle to make the most of all the various ski areas and highly reputed restaurants in villages of the Abondance valley.
